Finnish blues-rock guitarist and singer Erja Lyytinen celebrates her 50th birthday with ‘50th Birthday Live 2026′, a new live release due on October 9, 2026 via Tuohi Records.
The album was recorded on March 21, 2026 at Helsinki’s House of Culture, known as Kultsa, during Lyytinen’s 50th birthday concert. The release combines the birthday performance with a second live recording from her Smell the Rosestour, recorded at Tempo in Mikkeli in October 2025.
The ‘50th Birthday Live 2026′ package is available as a double CD/DVD and double vinyl. The Helsinki concert features material from across Lyytinen’s career, including songs from Another World, Dreamland Blues and Smell the Roses. Special guests include Swedish punk/blues trio Baskery on Torn and bassist Sami Yaffa on One Thing I Won’t Change.
The first single, One Thing I Won’t Change, features Yaffa on bass and backing vocals. The song originally appeared on Lyytinen’s 2012 album Forbidden Fruit and was rearranged for the birthday concert.
