Dead Poet Society will release their third album ‘Monarch’ on October 2 via Spinefarm. The announcement arrives alongside Cold, a new single accompanied by a video directed by the band’s Jack Underkofler with Blackwolf Imaging.

Following earlier singles Roac and Sinner Systems, Cold further introduces the album’s combination of weight, melody and emotional intensity. Drummer Will Goodroad describes the track as an exploration of social pressure, the pursuit of acceptance and the gradual loss of connection with one’s identity and passions.

Produced by Paul Meany of Mutemath, mixed by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Adam Hawkins, and recorded at Valley View Studios and The Park in Los Angeles, ‘Monarch’ builds on the foundations of 2021’s -!- and 2024’s FISSION. According to vocalist and guitarist Jack Underkofler, the band aimed to push the elements that define Dead Poet Society further, resulting in their most expansive and emotionally resonant collection yet.

‘Monarch’ explores contrasts between weight and melody, vulnerability and defiance, while embracing the tension between them. The album is available to pre-order on limited-edition vinyl, CD and digital formats.
