Austin-based singer-songwriter and banjo player Rita Bliss will follow her 2024 debut Peaches and Apple Pies with her sophomore album ‘One More Winter’. The album was recorded in Austin, Texas, between the release of her January single ‘You Can Go’ and the June EP ‘Live From London’, recorded at Green Note in London.

Bliss reunites with musicians from her debut, including Dom Fisher, Noah Jeffries, Jimmie Scott Calhoun and Patrick Herzfeld, while Billy Bright joins on mandolin. Produced by Bliss and co-produced with her returning team, ‘One More Winter’  combines her distinctive clawhammer banjo and honest songwriting with bluegrass instrumentation and occasional country influences.

The ten songs explore love, heartbreak, longing and social commentary, alongside stories rooted in small-town history and personal experience. The album features the single All My Days, released August 7, and closes with Silver City, the track that gives ‘One More Winter’  its title.

Since launching her solo career in 2023, Bliss has received growing critical acclaim, with comparisons to John Prine, John Hartford and Pete Seeger. Her debut album was also named among the top ten releases of 2024 by The Back Porch radio program. Bliss is set to tour the US for a third time this fall, with a return to the UK planned for 2027.
