‘Psycho Killer,’ of course named after the notorious Talking Heads track is probably Dixi’s last hurrah and this blues rock trio, hailing from The Hague, leaves the music scene with a blast indeed.

‘Psycho Killer’ is an album with powerful, seventies-sounding, dirty blues rock that will kick you in the teeth right from the start, till the final track. Hellride, the opening track is a true and pure energetic full blast hard rock/blues song that will leave you flabbergasted for sure!

However, I think it is a shame that the Dixi’s decided to put five covers on this album, as I am mostly not such a great fan of covers. But I must admit that the hard rocking White Room (Cream) version and the heavy Psycho Killer (Talking Heads) version are second to none indeed.

Further covers are two great Gov’t Mule songs (Drivin’ Rain and Slackjaw Jezebel) and a nice “dirty” Sammy Hagar cover, being Rock Candy !

Dixi’s last album is a wonderful, raw, dirty, mean, and lean blues rock album, which you must play at maximum volume indeed! Also, take a look at the cover, which speaks volumes indeed!
