Aerosmith & YUNGBLUD – One More Time

Seeing the fact that I have always been a huge Aerosmith fan (I once even had a notorious interview with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry in Boston!) I was kind of looking forward to this album, which is in fact an EP, as it only contains five songs.
After a couple of spins, I concluded that ‘One More Time’ is definitely not a good album, better said: it is a 100% disappointment for sure. This EP chases pop chart success and it is amazingly overproduced and heavy-pitched corrected and the vocals of Tyler sound like an AI generated copy indeed.
‘One More Time’ starts with the lead single of this EP called My Only Angel and it is a glam rock song where the vocals of Tyler and Yungblud nicely interweave into a mammoth, addictive chorus. Problems is a mechanical rocker, with a guitar riff that really sounds like of the Boston guitar riff of More Than A Feeling…..
Wild Woman and A Thousand Days are mediocre, boring country-like ballads where Yungblud’s vocals sound like an unbelievably bad impression of Steven Tyler. Finally, we come to the last track, which is a remix of one of the best Aerosmith songs ever recorded, namely Back In The Saddle from the ‘Rocks’ album (1976).
This version here is an absolute and utterly disgrace as this amazing hard rock track is ruined completely here; just check out the weird call and response vocals as they are horrible; indeed, ending this EP in a very “shameful” way….
So, if you are a true Aerosmith fan, like yours truly, then I would not advise you to buy this EP for sure, sorry Steven but this is not “worthy” of you….
But there is no account for taste, as I already also read some very positive reviews about this EP……
