Single I Rebecca Downes – Falling Into You
Birmingham (UK) based independent artist Rebecca Downes announces the release of “Falling Into You,” the second single from her sixth studio album, now entitled ‘A Storm Is Coming,’ due to be released on 31 October 2025
This release follows hot on the heels of the first track, “These Days.” As usual, the music and lyrics were written by Steve Birkett and Rebecca. The recording and production were done by Steve and his son Steve Birkett Junior and the track was mixed and mastered by Steve Jnr.
Talking about the track Rebecca says: “We were really pleased and humbled by the response to “These Days.” As usual, our album will be an eclectic mix and this new track is different to the previous one. “Falling Into You” is a driving tempo rock song about falling for someone you probably shouldn’t. Unlike the dark, ominous overtones of “These Days,” it is upbeat and lively, and I think people will find it a really driving and energising song.”
Steve Birkett continues: “We first brought the production, mixing and mastering in house for our ‘Stripped Back’ album and whilst we love working with people like Gavin Monaghan, we wanted to do more tracks ourselves in order to bring our own ideas and creativity to that part of the process, something that has proved to be hugely enjoyable and very rewarding.”
