About the track states, “Twist My Fate is a song about coming to terms with big decisions and realizing that one person can change the trajectory of everything; it was a blast to sing this with powerhouse singer Kevin Burt.”
Since relocating from Salt Lake City to Memphis in 2017, Holiday has been at the center of a soul blues revival in Memphis, anchored by a contingent of young, savvy, well-schooled musicians with a “family-like” attitude and a strong belief in one another. Mentored by past legends, Holiday and this loose Memphis collective are building on the city’s rich traditions and carrying them forward.
Tony’s last release, Motel Mississippi, was wildly successful, entering the Billboard Blues Top 10 on three different occassions, and it was also nominated for “Best Emerging Album” at the 2023 BMAs. Critical acclaim followed with Rock & Blues Muse declaring, “This is a brilliant set of non-cookie-cutter blues music that takes risks, gives rewards, and shows us all what is still possible. Play it all night long,” Glide exclaimed. “Blending the cool blues-rock of acts like The Black Keys and North Mississippi Allstars with a Memphis soul sound, Holiday captures the mood and feel of the place where he now resides,” and Goldmine stated, “This Memphis ballbuster kicks out the jams on his second solo outing.”
Since the release of Motel Mississippi, Holiday has been touring hard, taking spells in between to write and record with Producer Eric Corne for his forthcoming album. Due in Spring 2025.
