Lifandi, which means alive in old Norwegian, is the new mini album of the outstanding founder, frontman and guitar player of Airbag, Bjørn Riis
‘Lifandi,’ sad but true, only contains four tracks, which were recorded during Riis’s European Tour of 2025, and the album is a personal tribute to Ace Frehley, the notorious guitarist of KISS.
‘Lifandi’ kicks off with the song Gone, the lead single of Riis’s 5th solo album ” Fimbulvinter,’ released in 2025 and it is an almost hard rock song with brilliant guitar picking indeed. Next up is the instrumental song Getaway, a fan favourite, from Riis’s 2017 album ‘Forever Comes To An End,’ followed by another track from that album, namely the heartfelt ballad Where Are You Now?
This mini album ends with the best track, being the title track of Riis’s 5th album ‘Fimbulvinter,’ a truly majestic, brilliant instrumental song, with Riis displaying his immaculate guitar playing, of course in the veins of David Gilmour….
‘Lifandi’ is a wonderful album for guitar lovers and addicts, but my two last words for this album are: TOO SHORT!
