Gráinne Duffy is an Irish guitarist, singer, and songwriter from Co.Monaghan. Her sixth studio album, ‘What Am I Supposed To Do,’ arrives May 22 — recorded in Los Angeles in January 2025 during the fires, with Marc Ford and Justin Stanley producin

Nine tracks of blues-rock authority: raw, direct, nothing wasted. Her 2023 album ‘Dirt Woman Blues’ — co-produced by Grammywinner Chris Goldsmith (Ben Harper, Blind Boys of Alabama) and Marc Ford — hit #1 on the USA RMR Top 50 for seven consecutive weeks and was named 5th Best Blues Album of the Year by Classic Rock Magazine. Before that, ‘Voodoo Blues’ (2020)won her the Independent Blues Award for Best Modern Roots Artist and charted in the U.S., UK, and France.

Over nearly two decades and five continents, she has shared stages with Gary Clark Jr., Ben Harper, Billy Gibbons, Keb’ Mo’,Mavis Staples, and Alanis Morissette. Her first U.S. concerts came in Chicago and New Orleans in summer 2023. She has appeared onBBC sessions with Bob Harris and Paul Jones, recorded at GeorgeMartin’s Air Studios, and performed on Ireland’s Other Voices.

The title track of the new album was written while Los Angeles burned. The opening line arrived in real time: “Whole world is crazy,fallin’ down outside.”
