Northern Irish singer-songwriter Foy Vance will release ‘IF: WE’, the first of three EPs forming his eighth studio album project IF on October 30, 2026, via Rounder Records.

The five-track EP explores family, community and the places where people find a sense of belonging, while also considering how those environments can shape or change us. The project follows Vance’s completion of The Wake the final instalment in a seven-album cycle that began after his father’s sudden death in 1999.

For IF  Vance returned to more than a hundred songs written over 27 years, revisiting their themes of devotion, grief, longing and forgiveness. The larger project is divided into three parts – IF: WE, IF: YOU and IF: I – moving from our place in the wider world towards relationships and personal reflection.

Produced by Anderson East, ‘IF: WE’ features the tracks Feel The Cold, Don’t Move, Stoke My Fire, Know By Now and Concubine. Both Feel The Cold and Know By Now have been released as previews ahead of the EP.

Vance previously reached an international audience with Joy of Nothing (2013), featuring Bonnie Raitt, and released The Wild Swan in 2016, executive-produced by Elton John.

‘IF: WE’ will be available digitally and on red eco-mix blend vinyl. The vinyl edition is listed with an etched B-side.
