On August 28, 2026, ‘Antone’s 50th Presents Chicago Bound: Honoring Muddy, Cliff & Blue’ will be released through Blues Till 2 Recording Co. The album celebrates fifty years of Antone’s, the Austin club founded by Clifford Antone that became closely associated with generations of blues musicians.
The collection brings together members of the extended Antone’s musical family. Among the featured artists are John Primer, Kim Wilson and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Lavelle White, Anson Funderburgh, Billy F Gibbons and the BFGs, Doyle Bramhall II and Lurrie Bell.
The recordings were made live to tape at Arlyn Studios in Austin, Electrical Audio in Chicago and Sam Phillips Recording in Memphis. Production was handled by Jacob Sciba and Zach Ernst.
One of the collaborations brings together Ivan Neville and CC Adcock with Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood for a version of the Clifton Chenier song One Step At A Time. Jimmie Vaughan, best known as a guitarist, contributes harmonica to the track.
Elsewhere, John Primer performs the title track and returns alongside Lil’ Ed Williams and drummer Kenny “Beedy Eyes” Smith for Got My Mojo Working. The album also contains an interview excerpt featuring Clifford Antone, who died in June 2006.
