Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts will release their new studio album ‘Second’Song on September 18, 2026, via Reprise Records. The seven-track album will be available on vinyl, CD and digitally.

‘Second Song’ follows the band’s 2025 studio album ‘Talkin’ To The Trees’ and the 2026 live release ‘As Time Explodes.’ The new album was produced by Lou Adler and The Volume Dealers, the production team of Neil Young and Niko Bolas, with Anthony LoGerfo and Manny Adler serving as associate producers.

Described in the supplied press material as a semi-acoustic album, ‘Second Song ‘ i s linked musically to earlier Neil Young albums including ‘Comes A Time and Prairie Wind’.

Young is joined on the album by Chrome Hearts members Anthony LoGerfo, Corey McCormick, Micah Nelson and Spooner Oldham. The instrumentation ranges from acoustic and electric guitars to Hammond B3, Farfisa, pump organ, piano, Mellotron, vibes and harmonica.

Young contributes vocals, upright piano, acoustic and electric guitar, vibes, Mellotron, marxophone and harmonica. LoGerfo plays drums and wave drum, while McCormick handles bass and vocals and Nelson contributes electric guitar and vocals. Oldham’s keyboard instrumentation includes Hammond B3, Farfisa, pump organ, piano, Mellotron and vibes.
