Format: CD / Vinyl
Release date: October 30, 2026

After an eleven-year gap, Italian heartland rock band Miami & the Groovers returns with ‘Love and Pain’, their sixth studio album, released on October 30, 2026. The ten-track record brings together heartland rock, Americana and roots rock, drawing on the traditions of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty while incorporating influences from the contemporary American independent rock scene.

Founded in 2000 by singer-songwriter Lorenzo Semprini, the band has built its musical identity around American rock’n’roll and heartfelt songwriting. Based in Rimini, on Italy’s Adriatic coast, Miami & the Groovers have toured extensively throughout Europe and also performed in the United States, including appearances connected to the Light of Day festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

The songs on ‘Love and Pain’ explore the contradictions of everyday life, touching on love, loss, hope, anger and redemption. The album features ten original compositions, ranging from energetic rock’n’roll to more intimate and reflective moments.

Among the tracks are It’s a Bomb, Baby!, described by the band as a politically charged garage-rock song, and The Night I Met Tom Petty, a tribute to one of their major musical inspirations.

The album also features several guest musicians, including American singer-songwriter Joe D’Urso, French musician Mike Noegraf and Italian violinist Federico Mecozzi, known for his work with Ludovico Einaudi. Other contributors include Veronica Conti, Diego Alloj, Chiara Pari and Gianluca Fabbri.

Recorded and co-produced by Gianluca Morelli at Deck Studios in Rimini, ‘Love and Pain’ is initially available on CD and vinyl. The band has chosen to postpone its release on digital streaming platforms until early 2027, encouraging listeners to experience the album as a complete work.

With ‘Love and Pain’, Miami & the Groovers continue their journey through the traditions of American roots rock, combining influences from across the Atlantic with their own Italian perspective.
