British Southern rock quartet Wood Burnt Red have released Count My Blessings (Radio Edit) on October 14, 2026. The single presents a shorter version of the song featured on their debut album ‘Hold On Tight’, which was released on September 4, 2026.
The original recording appeared ahead of the album, while the radio edit is being introduced as a separate single. Blending Southern rock, country and blues influences, Wood Burnt Red continue to develop their sound around guitar-driven arrangements and personal songwriting.
A Song About Addiction And Recovery
According to lead singer and guitarist Tom Franklin, Count My Blessings explores the ongoing struggle with addiction and the difficulties that can remain even after someone has stopped drinking, using drugs or engaging in other addictive behaviour.
The song addresses the expectation that recovery should immediately bring a sense of normality, while recognising that the emotional challenges often continue. Its central theme is the search for stability and a way forward after overcoming an addiction.
Wood Burnt Red consists of Tom Franklin (lead vocals and guitar), Rob Graney (lead guitar), Russ Staples (bass guitar) and Ed Baldwin (drums). Their eleven-track debut album ‘Hold On Tight’ was produced by Tyler Spicer, mixed by Todd Peterson and mastered by Sam Moses.
Upcoming UK Tours With Parker Barrow And Danielle Nicole
Wood Burnt Red will join American Southern rock band Parker Barrow for a series of UK concerts between November 25 and December 4, 2026. The band is also scheduled to perform at Planet Rock’s Winter’s End Festival on January 28, 2027.
In February 2027, Wood Burnt Red will support blues and soul artist Danielle Nicole during five UK concerts, running from February 17 to 21.
