The Woods – One Shot
Format: Digital / Stream
Label: Self Released
Release date: October 7, 2026
Released on October 7, 2026, ‘One Shot’ was recorded at Recording Studio De Kerk in Niekerk, the Netherlands, and is available on digital streaming platforms. The single features the two-part, soul-inflected title track alongside About Our Love, a six-minute uptempo jam.
For the recording, the band chose to record the instruments live, giving the tracks a live feel and a playful character. Both songs were mixed on Hans Hanneman’s distinctive vintage mixing desk at Recording Studio De Kerk.
The Woods consists of Joris Bos (composer, vocals and guitar), Martijn Drijfhout (bass and vocals), Johan Zielstra (Hammond and Rhodes) and Pieter Dokter (drums and percussion).
The band previously released the albums Good to See You (2024), Hurricane (2021) and Stone Cold (2019). ‘One Shot’ serves as a preview of a full-length album expected in 2027.
