British rhythm & blues outfit The Mighty Howlers have released their brand-new live album Friday Night Blues – Live at The Butler, a professionally recorded double album that perfectly captures the band’s energetic stage performance. The album was officially released on 19 July 2026 as an independent release and is available on 2CD and all major digital streaming and download platforms.
Formed in Cornwall, England, in 2023, The Mighty Howlers have rapidly established themselves as one of the UK’s hardest-working rhythm & blues bands.
Drawing inspiration from legendary acts such as Dr Feelgood, Nine Below Zero, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and ZZ Top, the four-piece combines the raw edge of Chicago blues with the driving energy of classic British R&B.
In just three years the band has performed more than 300 live shows, appearing at festivals including The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival, Tenby Blues Festival, Swanage Blues Festival, Boardmasters and the Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival.
They have also shared the stage with British blues legends Dr Feelgood and Nine Below Zero, further cementing their growing reputation on the UK blues circuit.

Following the success of their debut studio album Back On Track, which featured thirteen original songs, the band now presents Friday Night Blues – Live at The Butler, recorded before a packed audience at the renowned Friday Night Blues Club at The Butler in Reading on 20 March 2026.
Spanning more than 90 minutes, the twenty-track collection offers an authentic snapshot of The Mighty Howlers at their very best. Alongside audience favourites from Back On Track, the album introduces new songs destined for the band’s next studio release, while also paying tribute to blues history with classics such as “Baby Please Don’t Go“, “Someday Baby“, “Going Back Home” and “Howling For My Baby“.
Rather than polishing away the atmosphere of the evening, the recording embraces every ounce of live energy, audience interaction and spontaneous musicianship that has become synonymous with a Mighty Howlers performance. The result is a live album that reflects exactly what fans experience when seeing the band on stage.
