The Impossible Green from Trondheim established itself in Norway with the 2024 debut ‘In Technicolor’ and the 2025 album ‘Quicksilver Daydream’. The latter was followed by an intensive touring schedule, with more than 60 concerts in Norway, including appearances at Øyafestivalen, Vinjerock, Olavsfest and Malakoff.
On their third album, and their first release for Die With Your Boots On Records, the band moves further towards 1970s rock while retaining its Americana foundation. Humble Pie, The Rolling Stones and Thin Lizzy are among the influences mentioned by the band, alongside Daniel Romano, whose music also inspired the group’s name.
The album explores themes including the pursuit of an unattainable ideal, with songs such as Farewell America, Samurai Blues, Anything and Fast Track, Slow Decay. The band describes the record as a musical journey that raises questions while searching for possible answers.
The Impossible Green has also become involved in Åge Aleksandersen’s project Åge & Svarttrosten, where the band and Violet Road form Aleksandersen’s backing band. ‘In Search of Impossible Green’ will be released on October 2, 2026.
