Kick down the fences it’s the ‘Tas Cru Band – Live!’ All natural, rough and raw, it’s our top ten, fan-fed (selected) songs done cage-free performed for our live in-studio party goers. Gone are the frills of a studio album. Loose and loud, we just give each song our best go!

For this album it only made sense to record with the active road band. This crew toured together all summer and fall in ’23 and it clicked, especially when it counted. Vocalist Mia (Mary Ann) Casale is well-known to fans. You’ve heard her on all of Tas’ studio albums. Live, that rich voice of hers brings a certain warmth to these songs and undoubtedly, Mia provides that just right, touch of class! Tom Terry (bass/) has a resume that includes stints with Jason Ricci, Chris O’Leary, Alexis P. Suter and Paul Nelson. His “rock and roll” bravado brings big energy to these songs. Phil Diiorio’s high-octane drumming and vocal power take these songs up several notches. Keyboardist Scott Ebner’s chops are thoughtful and measured, but when it comes time to rip, he’s all like, “get out of my way!” So here you go, the band roaming the sonic hills and valleys with these ten fan-fed songs, those best- loved and chosen by the fans.

To no surprise, the songs are all rough and tumble and live on the stony side of the fence. Kicking down the stall is ‘Dat Maybe from the Blues Music Award nominated Simmered & Stewed (2017) followed by two from 2023’s Riffin’ the Blue: the gospel-blues Stand Up! and piano rolling’ Brown Liquor Woman. Mia takes the reins on Have a Drink from Memphis Song (2018) and then Scott Ebner leads the way in Take Me Back to Tulsa, the longest living song on Tas’ touring set list from You Keep the Money (2014). A bounce back to Simmered & Stewed for Grizzle n’ Bone then to Memphis Song for the funky One-Eyed Jack followed by two more, the title track and Drunk Half the Time, from You Keep the Money. Closing things out is another gospel-blues co-penned with Mia. Hailed by fans as the Tas Cru best feel-good song of all, Heal My Soul leads us home after a great session and a long day spent galloping about the wide-open sonic spaces!
