Spoonful of Blues released ‘Live at Dexter’ on September 25, 2026 through Bluestown Records. The live album was recorded on February 20, 2026 at Musikhuset Dexter in Odense, Denmark, and documents the band’s current lineup.
The 13-track set brings together established Spoonful of Blues concert songs, including Rollercoaster Ride To Hell, Four Roses, Three Forks Store, Hold Me In Your Arms Tonight and Here We Go Again. The album also includes Soulshine, written by Warren Haynes.
The current lineup features Jostein Forsberg on vocals and harmonica, Eskil Aasland on drums and vocals, Tony Caddle on bass, and guitarists Øystein Ytterbø and Jens Fjelle. The two guitarists joined the band following the death of founding guitarist Morten Omlid in November 2023.
The recordings were made at Musikhuset Dexter by Toke Wilhjelm Merstrand. The album was mixed at Juke Joint Studio in Notodden by Halvor Halvorsen and Jostein Forsberg, with Bård Gunnar Moe as co-producer.
