London-based blues trio Jimmy Regal And The Royals will release their new single, “Flat Battery Blues,” on 14 August 2026. It is the second single from their forthcoming album Snap Back, following the success of “Don’t Know Diddley,” which received US chart recognition and international radio airplay.

Known for blending traditional blues with influences from North Mississippi, New Orleans, Senegal, and Mali, the band has built a reputation for its powerful live performances and distinctive sound. Since their 2017 debut, they have achieved four UK Top 10 blues albums, with their latest release, First and Last Stop, reaching No. 1 in the UK Blues Chart and earning international acclaim.

The band has toured extensively across the UK, performed at major blues festivals, supported artists including Cedric Burnside and GA-20, and collaborated with leading West African musicians. In 2026, they performed at the Kafou Music Festival in Dakar, Senegal, alongside kora master Diabel Cissokho.

Inspired by a true story about an unreliable car, “Flat Battery Blues” uses everyday experiences as a metaphor for life. Musically, the track draws on funk and the influence of Cedric Burnside, while continuing the band’s mission to expand the boundaries of modern blues through global rhythms, strong storytelling, and cross-cultural collaboration.
