“Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is” is the first release of the year and a stand alone track. Robert Jon & The Wreck recorded in fall 2025 at the legendary Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, Studio 2 also known as the Van Halen room
The song was self produced by the band and engineered and mixed by Chad Gordon, who also worked on Henry’s very first album with his first band years ago.
The song began during an acoustic writing session between Robert and Henry, built around a chorus and a vision that leaned heavier than much of their past work. Lyrically it is a call to action about the disconnect between words and actions, something that can apply to individuals, society, or the political climate we are all living in.
When brought to the band, it came together quickly and effortlessly, fueled by a youthful energy that felt different from the rest of their catalog. Musically it draws from heavy 90s riff rock with elements of punk, grunge, and even metal, while also exploring new sonic textures they have never used before.
