It can be one step forward and two steps back especially when you are trying to end the relationship with your most dear and trusted friend, a bottle of booze,’ says Joshua. “Maybe I have reached my critical point of failure, my “Tipping Point”… but no, I’ll crack another bottle and, I’m back with you again.”
The most recent songwriting endeavor by Joshua Josué & Ben Rice was “The Only Way Out “ on Curtis Salgado’s album “Fine Me” which reached #6 on the U.S. Billboard Top 10 Blues charts in September 2024. Now one month later Joshua & Ben follow it up with the brooding, sorrowfully conflicted and seductive composition Tipping Point.
“Tipping Point” showcases Joshua’s, soulful voice, drawing listeners into a world reminiscent of the blues and soul tunes that defined the 1940s like Tampa Red’s “It Hurts Me Too” and the sexy melody, layered with poignant lyrics, evokes the songwriting sensibility of the 1960’s SanFrancisco Bay Area’s rock scene, all while maintaining a unique perspective that feels entirely contemporary.
