Single I GA-20 – Hold On, I’m Coming
Blues stalwarts GA-20 come out of the gate swinging with their vibed-out instrumental version of the Sam & Dave classic “Hold On, I’m Coming,” a tune brought to the Blues forefront by the great Earl Hooker in the 1960s
The first single from their forthcoming album ‘ORPHANS,’ this band favorite introduces Cody Nilsen’s searing lap steel, and for the first time ever, brings some friends into the mix: Nate Edgar on bass and Brooks Milgate on the Hammond organ.
ABOUT THE BAND: GA-20 is a modern torchbearer of traditional blues, formed in Boston in 2018 by guitarist Matthew Stubbs, a 17-year veteran of blues legend Charlie Musselwhite’s band. Drawing from deep roots in American music, GA-20 delivers raw, high-energy performances that resonate with both longtime blues fans and new audiences. The trio — rounded out by guitarist/vocalist Cody Nilsen and drummer Josh Kiggans — blends vintage blues, country, and rock ‘n’ roll into a sound that’s both authentic and refreshing. With relentless touring and a devotion to the live experience, GA-20 proves that the blues is alive, evolving, and built for the stage.
