A bluesy ballad about heartache and longing in a soulful band performance with a breathtaking slideguitar solo. A relationship that is not going anywhere in spite of a deeply felt connection . But it also hasn’t really started yet. What is keeping those two people from it? Do they really know?
This remake of “Cry” is one of 14 tracks on ‘A Pawnshop Love Affair,’ an album to be released in January 2025 on Continental Record Services by BJ Baartmans & Wild Verband. BJ Baartmans has built up quite a name in the European Americana scene. As a touring musician with around 4000 shows under his belt, as s solo artist releasing 14 albums in 25 years and as a producer working with artists like Iain Matthews, Jeff Finlin, Oh Susanna, Jack Poels, JW Roy.
