‘Key Of V’ is the eighth album from Peter Veteska & Blues Train, one of the most polished blues ensembles of the United States. Through the years the band has developed itself into a blues rock machine that is grounded on a rock steady rhythm section (Alex D’Agnese on drums and Chuck Hearne on bass) over which Veteska vocally and on guitar and Jeff Levine on keyboards feature in excellent interplay.
Veteska calls the album, with five band originals and five covers, his most personal album yet. It’s the five ‘catchy’ band originals that stand out the most. Home Of The Broken Hearted, Falling Out Of Love Again, Turning Out The Noise, Watch The Love Grow and the cover Checking On My Baby are blues rock anthems of great class.
The other songs refer to Veteska’s past, such as the covers Key To The Highway and Walking By Myself and songs like Learning The Blues and I Did All That I Could that have a strong jazzy character. ‘Key Of V ‘ ends up with the acoustic saloon song I Don’t Know Enough About You.
With ‘Key Of V,’ Peter Veteska & Blues Train prove to be one of the tightest blues rockbands on the scene.
