‘Country Sides’ is about our world and how we use music to live in the spaces we want to be: to get high on our own energy

This record is both a nod to the past and a look to the future. For TWENTY YEARS, we’ve been writing, recording, and playing music that inspires us, and we hope it, in turn, touches and inspires others. Pretty simple, right?

There’s soul and folk, rock ‘n’ roll, and Country Sides in all the music we make. This time, we’ve spent a little more time exploring the Country Sides of our musical personality.

Let yourself be carried away on an ethereal wave of pedal steel sounds, but feel your feet firmly planted on the ground and the power of the bass and drums. They give you an unmistakable rhythm to move to. Follow the Wurlitzer piano as it dances with the acoustic guitars to find the vocals, always leading, yet always blending together, creating a sweet, sweet harmony.

We’re a close-knit group who once followed in the footsteps of musical greats who existed long before our journey. Now, twenty years later, we’re forging our own path and enjoying the views as we cycle through the countryside – Band of Heathens
