Legendary musician Jim Keller is releasing three new ballads, each recorded live
* “Never Got It Straight” is Keller’s song looking back on messing up in love, written with Jamie Rubin and recorded in Nashville with Rubin and Audley Freed (Sheryl Crow) on guitars, Yuval Lion on drums and Joe Pisapia (KD Lang) on keys, guitar and bass. Pisapia also produced.
* “Breathe It In” is Keller’s haunting song about losing friends to age and bad luck, written and recorded with bassist Byron Isaacs (The Lumineers) in Brooklyn with Chris Bruce (Meshell Ndegeocello) on guitar, Dan Mintseris (Joe Jackson) on keys and Yuval Lion on drums, with Grammy winner Hector Castillo producing.
* “I Could Love You Too” was written with Adam Levy (Tracy Chapman). Keller and Levy performed it live in Brooklyn at GB’s Juke Joint.
And since we aim to confuse: please note that Jim will be releasing a new album ‘The End Of The World’ in October. None of these 3 songs will be on that album, but the first single “Got No Time Fort That” will hit the DSPs August 6.
