Recorded at Groenland Studios in Hilversum, The Netherlands, the album is a true concept record from start to finish.
‘When we lose someone that is dear to us – be it through a relationship, death or departure – we go through a whole range of emotions that, once processed, help us make it though to the other side. My record ‘Half of it’ is exactly that – a record about taking stock of my emotions, sitting withthem, working through them and ultimately writing about my experience. It is by far the most vulnerable record I’ve made to date and as a result it was a very cathartic album for me to write.’
