Miss Emily has captivated fans across Canada, the US, the UK and Western Europe with her unique combination of impassioned performances and incomparable vocals that soar to emotional heights and span the genres from Soul and Classic Motown, to Jazz, Gospel and Blues. In February of 2020 at the Maple Blues Awards in Toronto, Miss Emily walked away with Female Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and the Sapphire Canadian Blues Music Video Award.
Today, in her adopted hometown of Kingston, she holds the record for sellouts at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts and has gained the respect of Canadian music industry veterans like The Tragically Hip and the Downchild Blues Band as well as the recent national recognition by the Maple Blues Awards. Recently after reviewing the recordings from each show, Emily realized that she had the makings of a live album.

Is a compilation of songs, stories and captivating moments that spans two and a half years of performances at one of Kingston’s most prestigious venues. The backing band for these shows is the same crew of road-tested musicians that supported her on last year’s Maple Blues Award winning festival circuit; James McKenty, Benni Vander & Rob Radford with Guest appearances by Gord Sinclair and Rob Baker of The Tragically Hip and CCMA nominated Kelly Prescott and Chad Murphy added musical muscle on many of the tracks. These songs document an extraordinary period in Miss Emily’s career.
Background – Based in Kingston, Ontario, Miss Emily is Canada’s 2019 Maple Blues Female Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year and the Sapphire Video Award winner for her song “Hold Back the River”, filmed at the shuttered Kingston Penitentiary.
