Leadfeather is a British heavy rock band formed in 2024, consisting of Apostolos L (lead vocals), Simon Hurts (lead guitar), Tom Willmott (bass guitar) and Thanos (drums) and their debut EP called ‘Roll The Dice’ got excellent reviews and now ‘Catch The Silvertrain’, also an EP with six new tracks, sees the light of day.
Leadfeather draws influences from the late sixties and seventies blues and rock music, creating a unique sound indeed. ‘Catch The Silvertrain’ kicks off with Queen Of The Night, a mid-tempo heavy song with an amazing catchy, singalong, chorus, followed by Silver Train, which is also an up-tempo track with a couple of rather familiar guitar riffs.
Third up is Wild Child, featuring slide guitar and lots of ho ho, ho’s, making it almost sound as a “poppy,” radio friendly track indeed. The Answer is a wonderful example of seventies heavy rock, but it also features acoustic guitars, reminding me of Bon Jovi….
Troubled Man is the highlight of this EP, as it definitely is the bluesiest and heaviest track of ‘Catch The Silvertrain’; so, play it at maximum volume and you will enjoy this one for sure!
Finally, Leadfeather delivers the longest track, being Walk Through Life; a ballad-like song with country-like guitar chords, slide guitar, orchestration, and a Slash-like guitar solo at the end of the song.
Leadfeather rocks, which is for sure, try it and you may like it, at least if you play it LOUD!!!!
