Irish band Kodaline will close their studio-album journey with ‘We Were Only Young’, a twelve-track collection built around themes of growth, connection, love, nostalgia and closure. The album follows the band’s previous studio release One Day at a Time from 2020.
The record includes a mix of ballads and pop-rock songs, ranging from the acoustic All I Ever Need Is You and piano-led Learn To Lose to the more upbeat It’s Not Over and Get Me High. The album opens with Who Will Save You Now and closes with The One For Me.
The title track looks back on earlier times, while Without You was written by frontman Steve Garrigan for his wife on their wedding day. The latest single, Back To Me, addresses being there for someone going through a difficult period.
The album is being released as Kodaline undertake their Farewell World Tour, with shows scheduled across Asia, Australia, Europe and the UK. The tour includes two shows in Utrecht.
