Keith Dunn & Klaas Wendling – Love To See You Dance
Format: CD – Digital

Release: 2026
The duo line up on this album is as stripped-down as it is sonorous: vocals (Keith Dunn, lead vocals, and Klaas Wendling, backing vocals), harmonica (Keith Dunn), and double bass (Klaas Wendling)
The interpretation of the twelve songs is rooted in traditional blues, yet simultaneously imbued with the characteristic swinging style of both artists
Klaas Wendling blends downbeat and backbeat rhythms with the double bass alone, creating a rich groove. This provides the solid rhythmic foundation for Keith Dunn’s unique harmonica playing and vocals, both characterized by his distinctive sound. Since his award-winning solo album “Alone With The Blues” (Deetone Records, 1998), Keith Dunn has been considered a master of nuanced phrasing. On the album “Love To See You Dance,” he uses the harmonica simultaneously as a rhythmic and melodic instrument, creating a particularly captivating and well-rounded sound.
The twelve songs (five of which were written by Keith Dunn) on “Love To See You Dance” oscillate between traditional Chicago blues shuffle (“Deep In My Heart For You”), swing (“Boogie Woogie – I May Be Wrong”), and rock ‘n’ roll energy (“Rock This House”). Contemporary social moods are also palpable in the interpretation of songs like “Strange Land” and “Trouble Is Going On,” which speak of uprooting, alienation, and loneliness.
