Eric Bibb returns with “Muddy Waters,” a funky tribute to the legendary bluesman who inspired generations. Written by Bibb and Glen Scott and rooted in travel and perseverance, the song rolls through the heartlands of American blues – from Houston to Baton Rouge – carrying the weight and spirit of its namesake.
Recorded in Sweden with producer Glen Scott, the track features an all-star cast: Robbie McIntosh (electric slide guitars, dobro, resonator), Paul Jones (harp), Sven Lindvall (tuba), and Bibb on vocals and acoustic guitar. “So happy to have Paul Jones and Robbie McIntosh onboard,” says Bibb. ‘Muddy Waters’ is one of my favorite tracks from my new album, ‘One Mississippi” – Glen Scott’s production is a masterclass in funk.”
The single is the latest taste of Bibb’s forthcoming album, One Mississippi (out 30 January 2026 via Repute Records), ahead of a worldwide tour in spring 2026.
